Tunisian Beets, multifaceted vegetables
The benefits of Beet are multiple.
A review of studies done in 2019 found that certain compounds in beets can disrupt cancerous mutations in cells. These compounds include betalains, which are pigments that give beets their red and yellow color.
Although more research is needed before health professionals can recommend beets as an alternative to other standard methods of reducing the risk of cancer, they may have some function in reducing the risk of this disease.
